I started off by drawing some doodles of a couple of animated characters from Bugs Life and Bee Movie. (Badly!) I then went on to draw some character sheets of faces with different expressions to try and get myself used to drawing faces. The next stage i tried was actually putting those heads and faces onto bug shoulders. Then i drew some ants, which are i think really likable
